Fun idea for a blog – and I get to post the first reply.
Recent musical obsessions of this scientist are "The Black Freighter" (a.k.a. "Pirate Jenny" by Brecht/Weill) from Steeleye Span's Storm Force Ten, and two new (to me) Coltrane albums, Kulu Se Mama and Coltrane Time.

Mostly (as always it seems) Im into trying to find some of the most relaxing music ever. Such as Sweet People or golden voyage. Although my love for Sabbath was recently rekindled by viewing The Black Sabbath story. Great tour stories. One of the best is how when they were recording in this spooky old castle the #1 devil worship band scared themselves so badly (as they thought the castle was haunted) they would drive home every night to sleep and return in the morning because they were too scared to sleep there.
